Hi to you all readers!
a book with the same name and same story line was written in Greece by Emanouel Roides (1836-1904).
This book and its author as well were excomunicated by the Holly Council of the Greek Church!
Just to remind that there was an other author that had the insiration and the courage to 'writte' about this issue more than one century ago.
By the way this book has been translated in a few languages (english too) and was a best seller at its times!

I also love this author and have not read this one...

Hi Mirella:) I too am fascinated by the women of those times and the seclusion they lived...however, no matter how many times I tried reading this one, I just couldn't get through it. It just didn't do it for me (and I really wanted it to!) I'm glad you enjoyed it:) the setting and the time period are certainly wonderful. Thanks Mirella:)

Wasn't the book great? Just saw the film over here in Germany. (Won't comment on it here until I know you've seen it yourself though!)

Very nice, very attractive blog, Mirella. I'm a huge fan of Italy and its culture and go as often as I can. I'll be covering Italy again and again in my own blog (with concrete restaurant tips!), so maybe you'll want to stop by when you find the time.

I've had the Mukka Express for awhile now and I think it's pretty great, very quick and easy to use. It doesn't seem meant for daily use though. Ours stopped making foam after awhile, which sort of defeats the purpose. Now we get more of a macchiato, but it still tastes great. I'll be curious to hear how yours works!
